These images were just taken on a boring Sunday afternoon in the mid to late 80's - They are the closest to publicity material we ever got! I envisaged something like the cover of the U2 Album - The Unforgettable Fire. You can imagine my dismay when the photos came back and they just reminded me of the Proclaimers!
See what I mean about the Proclaimers?
I have left this image a little bit bigger as it is a nice historical document of Runcorn (how sad?) - when this photo was snapped Halton Lea is still called Shopping City, Southgate still exists (the horrible grey structure in the centre) and ASDA is still under construction - Southgate is now a posh housing estate - with - get this - real houses and ASDA is now the place where I can be found buying food some days. I thought the looking the other way to each other made us look deep - but as you can see it has not quite had the desired affect.
Classic CD cover material.
