Goyt Valley - March 2008
During my time off in March 2008 I decided to take Boomer for another walk in The Goyt Valley - a place I have spent many a day off at over the years.............

The sort of view that in the words of Douglas Adams, makes you want to break into spontaneous applause. This is looking back towards Errwood Reservoir and into Derbyshire...

Dedication plaque back at the reservoir - also served as a nice bench....

The reservoir itself, looking towards Buxton - the local village was wiped off the map as the water rose. All that remains is a little bridge that has been moved further up the valley.....

Rear of the dam - looking back into Cheshire...

The overflow!

The old faithful Nissan Micra, resting with a twin following the journey from Runcorn....

Would be unthinkable to visit without going to the legendary Cat & Fiddle pub....

Sombre reminder of just what a dangerous road this can be.....
