Arizona Bay Special Guest Star - Hazy

Hazy is from Hertfordshire in the UK and is another regular contributor to The National Midday Sun Rush Fanpage.... my own attempts to copy the Neil Peart kit feel a bit weak and ordinary all of a sudden. Hazy says he wants to form his own Rush tribute band... how can he fail with this kit?

The ultimate tribute to Neil - Hazy with his kit - note the DW Heads! The kit is mainly PDP (Pacific by DW) and other bits are DW (like the snare). It more or less totally follows the design of the real thing. In fact this follows the design of the kit that you can see on the Neil Peart DVD - A Work in Progress (the smallest tom is absent on that one as well).

Another shot showing the electronics (D-Drums) - there is just so much to type about in this shot; the UFIP cymbals, the electronic pads, the side mounted bass drum.... or GASP!.... the Mallet Kat...

Just so we are certain that we are looking at a genuine Kat... there it is! A steal on e-bay apparently.

Fast forward to October 2007 and this is the latest incarnation of the Hazy Kit - a real DW kit - I think the only thing I can afford in this pic is the Tesco bag reflected in the bass drum front head.....
