Here are some shots from in and around Great Yarmouth - our home for the week......

AEC Bus still soldiering on in the colours of..... Flying Banana. This was taken at the Pleasure Beach end of Great Yarmouth......

Inevitable pic of Norfolk Constabulary Panda.......

Me and Emma on the beach @ Great Yarmouth...

Emma on the 2p tumble-thingies (do they have an official name?) - those machines that have loads of 2ps arranged so you get some to fall by getting other 2ps to fall upon them (you will never ever make a profit - I think they have people flown in from NASA arranging the coins) - if anyone can help, please tell me....

Remote control trucks on the seafront - these were far too much fun to be only 50p a go.... but they were bloody difficult to steer....
My own feeble attempts to get the tractor units connected to a trailer - it's only fair for me to point you in the direction of the above You Tube link that shows Emma's even worse efforts.....

You may have to make your own entertainment in Great Yarmouth - some people here have made a sandy retail park on the beach - just after they finished, Starbucks tried to build on it.... and that seems to be the Skywalker homestead from Star Wars in the middle of it (the one were Aunt Veru makes sure that Uncle Owen buys a translator that can speak Bachi).

Fairly straightforward safety poster on the beach at Yarmouth.....

Talking of making your own entertainment, here is a real museum piece of a coin-op in Caister - an original Space Invaders from the dawn of the arcades... it didn't work.....

Old coin-ops are obviously a big thing in Norfolk - the last time I played Operation Wolf was at RAF Swinderby in 1989 (I was rubbish at it then as well).....

Emma on the firing range at Pleasureland - the thigh slapping, southern yokel one where they shoot and spit back at you....

My luverly missus at sunset in Caister.....

There's something typically English about model villages - the one in Yarmouth was especially English in spirit: expensive and not all that good - although this castle was rather nice....

And I quite liked this bridge, carrying the trains over the massive Koi-Carps in the murk below....

Easily the nicest building in Yarmouth - but now it is a nightclub.....
