The Neil Peart Kit Rebuild - Part II

Really I jumped the gun by setting everything up and taking snaps in December - especially as Emma bought me some little cowbells to put with the kit (features that really make that 'Neil' difference) and I had solved my positioning problems by purchasing a Big Dog hi-hat stand (with the revolving base). In January I decided to add all of my little goodies to the existing set up and photograph the results.

Well now it has almost everything - the orphaned tom has been stuck on the percussion rack to my left and the Stagg & Pearl cowbells have been added to this. The extra items have required a rethink of the cymbals and one of the splashes have moved to my right on the cymbal stacker.

Showing the view from the driver's seat - you can also see that I have added a wooden block and a kit tambourine. The extra space allowed by the Big Dog HH stand can also be seen - but the extra rod above the clutch fitting (i.e the bit that holds the top hat on) will simply have to be amputated.

Looking to my right - the roadie's eye view of the kit.... and Emma's wooly pullys being dried on the radiator.....

I'm well pleased with the positioning of items here - but that gap to the left of the hi-hat will simply have to be filled - time to visit e-bay!

Well pleased with the results - drummer and sticks added so that everything works..... until Emma objected about ten seconds after me starting......
