The Neil Peart Kit Rebuild - Part III
After buying the nice new Big Dog tom mounts and freeing up a couple of my old ad-hoc tom mounts, I decided to put it all together and see how it looked and worked. Then I thought it might be a good idea to see if I could find some space for the electronics...... my childhood dream of a 360 degree kit getting closer.
This is how it all fits together in February 2005 - it is big and it is clever. I have added the electronics to the rear (just a couple of pads to the rear with a cymbal pad) and also one tom pad on the percussion rack to my left. All I need now is a band!
Where are you two from? Pedal City? The Janus, Big Dog and Mapex (operating an electronic kick pad) sit together (wrecking the carpet).
Obviously I am well pleased. This shot allows you to take a look at the slight downward angle of the 8" tom - so designed so fills can flow naturally and ergonomically (it says so on the Neil Peart DVD anyway so that is good enough for me).
