Arizona Bay Special Guest Star - Sabian Bodanis

It had to happen! I was sent so many pics of Sabian Bodanis that I had to create his own guest page. Sabian is the son of Dan Bodanis (the set next door to this one) and, as you can see below, is making a bit of an early start as a drummer.

Bodanis Junior turns up June 2005 - he is already booked in for a fitting for his own DW kit.

Sabian has already started hanging around with famous drummers - this is him and dad with Vito Rezza - he has played with Joni Mitchell and Chick Corea, to name but two. Chick Corea once played with Miles Davis, so Vito knows Dan, I have met Dan, so there is only a five degree of seperation between me and Miles. Whod have thunk it?

October 2006.....

Here is Sabian following in his dad's footsteps - picking up his first drum kit in January 2007.... he looks a bit like Simon Phillips here with that curly head......

His first real cymbal! A Soultone arrives in March 2007. He's lucky as my first cymbal was a crusty old Zyn that sounded like it had been hammered from a tractor mudguard.

Sabian with baby sitter, August 2007. Already a big-shot with the ladies - they are very nearly powerless against his cuteness.

A particularly cunning and original hardware solution... why spend a fortune on stands when you can get young ladies to hold your drums up for you.
