Around the Mull

The Mull of Galloway is the Southernmost point in Scotland - and also our home for the week.....

A little map - so Bully is flashing to help you.......

Mull of Galloway Lighthouse - you can find this on the piccy above right at the bottom..... if you click on this picture there is a link to the webcams that are all over the Mull area... (broadband would be an idea for this)......

Keeper's eye view of Gill and the Dogs......

Family group in the Lighthouse.... Mark, Gee, Emma & Russ...

My luverly missus in the lighthouse.......

Me with a very informal helicopter pad...... not really built with Gunships in mind....

The foghorn - all of them have been decommissioned - there is not so much need with GPS systems in place. The line of smoother water running from right to left on the photo is the point where several tides and currents all meet - probably the reason why a lighthouse was required here....

Mark and I on the foghorn.....

At the Mull of Galloway visitor centre....

A stone guide to distances from the Mull....

Mark and his magic folding picnic table. Emma was a bit embarrassed that anyone might find us using this table in the middle of a path and I think the picture reflects this rather well....

Koi Carp at Logan Botanic Gardens..... if you take another look on the map at the top then the location of the gardens is roughly half way down the left hand side of the peninsula....

Me amongst the Palms at Logan Botanic....

Emma and what looks like HUGE Rhubarb plants at Logan Botanic Gardens...

One of two brilliant action shots that Emma got of this cheeky Thrush (or Mavis to use the correct regional name) who fancied our crumbs....

Brilliant or what? The only pic I managed to get did not even make the final cut for use on the site!

Mark amongst the rocks at Port Logan (left hand side of the peninsula).....
