Arizona Bay Guest Quarters Set Two

More Drummers From around the Planet......

Aaron Burden

Aaron is also from the US of A and lists his fave drummers as Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees and Ringo Starr of the Beatles. He can be found in the Indiana and Kentucky bits of the US of A, usually playing Southern Rock. He drums in a band called Drifting South....

Darin Morvant

Darin is from Sully in Iowa and has sent me not pictures of himself but his two sons - above is Travis (a cool name should he decide to go into music!) peering out from behind the drums. This mega kit is a Pearl Export and seems to be something of an heirloom! Aaah! The parenting advantages of drumming! Still - it's going to be a few years before he can see over the drum kit....

Bayley - also dwarfed by his surroundings! The good thing about being this size is that the kit also doubles as a great venue for hide and seek - those bass drums would be ideal. He may have to wait before his legs grow a little bit before he masters double bass drumming technique.

Manfred of Austria

Manfred is from Austria and seems to be something of a drummer and a teacher - judging from his setup and his use of brushes, jazz would seem to be his thing.....

Ir. Ridzuan Abd. Malik

This is my drumming visitor from Malaysia - I think this drum kit is a birthday present and this jam you can see here is part of the celebrations (there seems to be a singer hidden behind the cymbal). The towel on the snare, though it looks a bit primitive, is a tried and tested method of dampening the snare drum used by many a studio technician over the years (Ringo Starr used this method as well). I don't know much about him - so please could you get in touch so I can type a bit more about you, mate.

Matt of Missouri

Here is Matt - he had to sell his old kit - so I will put this picture here for him until he can replace it with one that includes a drum kit - I'm sure he will achieve this goal soon. He says he wants an electronic kit - can't argue with that sentiment. Good luck, mate.

Dylan of New Zealand

Here is Dylan of New Zealand - the son of Bronwen - she who runs the NZ Drumconnexions website (see my drumlinks page) - this pic was taken in 2002 when he was but 11.

Nowadays, Dylan plays a DW kit... now this is a quality kit......

Andy Vellacot of the UK

Andy hails from Cambridge and he is a bit more serious than I. If you click on his photo you can visit his site. Andy understands such things as tuition! If you do visit his site you can hear him play on some loops (I'm sure he's superb but I never got round to plugging my speakers in!). His preferred kit is a Yamaha Maple Custom with Zildjian cymbals and one Sabian heavy ride (see what I mean about more serious?).

Here's Andy at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. I'm glad he turned up as British Drummers are currently underrepresented on the guest section of the site.
